Hospice New Zealand is delighted to announce the renewal of its partnership with House of Travel. New Zealand’s most trusted travel partner has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting hospice services across the country with an annual donation and regional, grass-roots support.
This renewed partnership continues a long-standing relationship grounded in shared values of care, compassion, and community. The generous contribution from House of Travel will help Hospice New Zealand raise awareness of the essential services hospices provide to people living with life-limiting conditions, as well as their whānau.
“We’re incredibly grateful to House of Travel for their continued support,” says Wayne Naylor, Chief Executive of Hospice NZ. “This partnership plays a vital role in helping us engage communities and grow awareness around the care, the value and the comfort that Hospice provides even in the face of life’s toughest challenges.”
The partnership goes beyond financial support. Through its national network, House of Travel works at a grass-roots level with local hospices, connecting with communities and encouraging New Zealanders across the country to support hospice services in meaningful ways.
For House of Travel, the collaboration reflects the company’s strong belief in making a positive impact where it matters most.
“As a New Zealand-owned company with strong connections to the communities our people live and work in, the partnership with Hospice has been a hugely important part of our business,” says Jayne Alldred, House of Travel Retail Director.
“For twenty years, our people have worked alongside their local hospices to raise both funds and awareness of the critical role hospices play in supporting families on their important life journeys. Whether through bake stalls, or larger scale events like Garden Tours, Quiz Nights, Community events or even virtual travel talks at a local Hospice, the partnership has been hugely rewarding and of significant importance to our people.
“The hospice philosophy of care that extends beyond the physical needs of a person and helping people to ‘live every moment’, while ensuring they and their family receive support, is one that really resonates with us. Our organisational purpose for the last 38 years has been about ‘enriching lives’ and we feel privileged to be renewing our partnership again with Hospice, such an aligned and important free service within our communities.”
Together, House of Travel and Hospice New Zealand will continue to raise vital awareness and support for hospice services, helping to ensure that compassionate care is available to those who need it, where they need it, now and into the future.
