Harcourts Foundation Grant to purchase 2 new hosptal beds

Last year Hospice Mid-Northland were the recipients of a Harcourts Foundation Grant of $5428, of which we applied to be able to purchase 2 hospital beds for our patients. Meeting Jo Seagar - Hospice Ambassador and Patron

On Wednesday Hospice Mid-Northland was thrilled to host Celebrity Chef, Author and Hospice Ambassador and Patron at our Special Time Clinic.Jo talked about her new book "Elbows on the table" and her love for her role as Hospice NZ's Ambassador and Patron. Jo spent a few hours talking with both patients and staff, having a guided walk around our facilities.We are really looking forward to working with Jo on some fundraising projects in the near future....

Funds Raised by Quail Ridge Country Club Village

It was lovely to meet Sally Cottle, Quail Ridge Country Club Village Manager last Thursday. Sally came to the office with a cheque for $300 which was the proceeds from the raffle they had during the Rotary Garden Safari weekend. Funds Raised through Blu Heelers Fishing Competition

We were so thrilled to be the Blu Heelers Fishing Competition charity benefactor for 2018, they raised $18,679 for Hospice. The tournament was held over the 12th - 14th November. A Tale of Two Halves

The good news story is our shop window has been dressed for Daffodil Day in support of the Cancer Society. This photo doesn't do it justice. It looks amazing! Thanks to Adele and volunteer Pat Scott.The bad news story is the weekly dumping we are getting at the back of the shop. Thi stumping comes at a HUGE costs to Hospice, this lot likely to be over $400 to remove and take to the dump. It takes many volunteer hours to process, clean and distribute the donated goods to our shops to recover this...
